About The Kindness Envelope

I’ve always believed that simple kindnesses make a difference in our world.

We think about people we know all the time. There are so many reasons to reach out. We think about calling, sending a card, or simply letting them know they matter.

And then life gets busy.

The thought is real, but sometimes it doesn’t make its way to the person we were thinking about.

That’s the idea behind The Kindness Envelope.

I wanted to create an easy, meaningful way to help turn those thoughts into something tangible — something a person could find in their mailbox, enjoy opening and exploring, and that would help them feel remembered.

Each Kindness Envelope includes thoughtful messages tucked into the pockets of an origami card, a stamped original watercolor postcard, a personal message from the person who sent it, and a letter from The Kindness Envelope. More than just a card, it’s a small, personal experience that says: someone was thinking about you.

A little about me

I’m Heather, the person behind The Kindness Envelope.

I spent much of my working life in education and business, but writing and creativity have always been an important part of who I am. Over the years, I’ve written hundreds of stories about kindness, connection, and the small moments that stay with us.

I’m also a watercolor painter — happily imperfect, usually a little loose, and still learning every time I pick up a brush.

The Kindness Envelope brings together many of the things I love most: writing, watercolor, creativity, and especially the simple idea that people should know when they matter to someone.

I create the pieces in small batches and assemble each envelope with care. I want it to feel personal because it is personal.

Why it matters to me

I don’t think kindness has to be grand.

Sometimes it’s simply letting someone know:

I remembered you.

I’m cheering you on.

I’m glad you’re in my life.

If The Kindness Envelope helps make one of those thoughts reach the person it was meant for, then it has done exactly what I hoped it would do.

I’m grateful to be a small part of that connection.
